In 2021, our founders were on opposite sides of a regulatory review that cost a fintech months of runway — not because the change was unforeseeable, but because there was no reliable way to track it early. The bill had been in committee for six weeks. Nobody had flagged it.

That experience crystallised a problem they had each seen dozens of times: Africa's legal and compliance teams were relying on WhatsApp groups, informal networks, and newspaper headlines to track policy. The intelligence existed — it was just scattered, delayed, and inaccessible to anyone who didn't already have the right contacts.

Hintells was founded to fix that. We built the monitoring infrastructure that aggregates parliamentary records, regulatory gazettes, and ministry publications across Nigeria, Kenya, South Africa, and Ghana — then added the human analyst layer that turns raw data into actionable intelligence.

Today, compliance teams, legal counsel, and strategy leads at financial services firms, energy companies, and consulting practices across Africa use our platform to get weeks of lead time — not days — before policy becomes law.

In 2025, we expanded the mandate. African companies with US correspondent banks, diplomatic missions navigating Washington, and US-based regulated entities all face the same blind spot — cross-corridor regulatory intelligence that nobody has consolidated. We built the infrastructure to fix that: a live pipeline covering Nigerian legislation, US federal rulemaking, OFAC sanctions, and Congressional activity, synthesised into stakeholder-ready intelligence.
